I launched this site in 2025 after receiving feedback that more people wanted to access my content without having to go through other publishing platforms that forced them to login or sign-up. Some friends recommended Ghost, and I ran with it.
A bit about me.
As Dev Technology Group's Chief Technologist, my day job involves helping run some of the nation's most important information technology systems and platforms. Dev Technology partners with the government to deliver mission outcomes, not just software. We focus on Modern Software Development, Cloud Modernization, AI, Biometrics, and Digital Identity. In my current role, I'm blessed to work with outstanding colleagues who are driven by a passion for technology and delivery.
Previous to my current role, I've worked in academia at leading institutions (as staff and faculty), did the tech start-up grind, and spent just over 15 years as a member of the United States Foreign Service as a Diplomat at the US Department of State, where I served domestically and overseas as a Foreign Service Specialist and later in my career as a Foreign Service Officer. As a diplomat, I've served in war zones and educational institutions, headquarters and critical threat assignments.
But you're here for the tech!
I plan on using this site mainly as a way to write about various things I'm doing in my tech-related roles. Sometimes I'll venture into past-government experiences.
